A place for readers who enjoy serialized fiction and beautiful short stories that mirror real life. Written & curated by Jazprose, an award-winning writer from the Deep South.
I like this idea - separating fact & fiction but leaving them under the same umbrella (if I’m understanding you). I look forward to revisiting The War Bride and the Genius, and reading/listening in one sitting thanks to the links to the next section in each episode. Hope this helps you reach more fiction lovers out there.
Thanks so much for reading and for your good wishes. But The Fiction Fix is an entirely separate publication. It’s not under the same umbrella as The Jazprose Diaries.
I tried putting them under the same umbrella last year, but they were published on Substack as if they were all part of the same feed.
That’s why I decided to make a separate publication just for fiction.
As an original subscriber to The Jazprose Diaries, it won’t make a difference to you. You’ll still receive both. That’s because I don’t want readers who have always received both my fiction and nonfiction in the past to be forced to subscribe to The Fiction Fix.
However, new subscribers after today (2/21/2023) will need to choose one or the other.
If they choose The Fiction Fix, they will only see my short stories. If they choose The Jazprose Diaries, they will only see my essays and commentary.
Fingers crossed that this will make it easier for readers to find me.
Many thanks. I really appreciate your encouragement and support. One reason I’ve created a separate place for my fiction is to make it easier for more readers to find me.
Apparently, algorithms and such are involved. Marketing too, which I’d do more of if I weren’t actually writing so much.
Fiction is the fix :)
Great to have come across The Fiction Fix for some serialised storytelling.
I'm on a similar journey with some serialised horror stories in my Tales Of The Frontier universe.

Got it! 👍🏻

Best wishes in this new endeavor. Always look forward to your stories and commentary. You deserve a broader audience.
